Summer Storm

As a qualified Master Fine Art Printmaker, I have knowledge of the process of making prints through my drawing and photography. As a Fine Artist, I know how to draw and paint. As a Photographer, I know how to create both analogue and digital prints. Printmaking within a fashion design context is new to me and it is a very exciting development to my skills. I headed off to the local garden centre to source an orchid, then dug out my watercolours and got out my sketchbook. It was an amazing achievement to go from a watercolour painting to a vectorized image and then have it repeated on screen as part of a fashion design. I am looking forward to stage II of this process, choosing fabrics and getting it printed. Stage III will be to hand over to the costumier.
